Donations/Sponsorships Sought for Compilation CD to Pay Production Costs, Widen Distribution

SAN DIEGO, CA December 7, 2009- GelderHead Productions, announced the original production and release of the continued tradition of "Holiday Magic 2009, a Gift for Children of all Ages". This is the seventh consecutive year that GelderHead Productions has produced a CD featuring music and an original holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children at various Hospital Pediatric Wards, Children's Hospitals and the pediatric patient’s siblings. A number of talented singers and actors donated their time and talent for the CD, and funds are currently being solicited to cover the cost of production and ensure as many children as possible receive a 2009 Holiday Magic CD.

Jeff Gelder, owner of GelderHead Productions, offers professional voice-over and on-camera talent for commercials, narration, spokesperson and emcee needs. GelderHead Productions distributed 1500 Holiday Magic CD's in 2007 and 2008 to eight hospitals nationwide, and has a 2009 goal of 2000 CDs. Jeff will also play Santa on December 10th at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA as part of his CD delivery.

The first CD was produced seven years ago, when Gelder was tasked in a Landmark Education class to create a project that would enhance the community and ultimately take on a life of its own. That's just what has happened, as Gelder fields many inquiries about the CD all year long and has produced the Holiday Magic CD for seven consecutive years. "This year we hope to once again have CD's for Children's Hospital's in San Diego, Milwaukee, Miami, Albuquerque, Orange County, CA, New Orleans, Houston, and New York. GelderHead Productions has also received many other requests from other hospitals around the country and will accommodate those hospitals and children in need.

“This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are, unfortunately, spending the holiday season in the hospital,” Gelder said. The children and their families are deeply grateful to Gelder’s compassion, generosity and holiday cheer during what can be a difficult time for them and these children and their families.

The Holiday Magic CD offers the tale of Jeffrey the Surfer Reindeer and Santa, as written by Microsoft Business Developer Mark Patterson. Jeffrey and Santa make their way from the North Pole to visit the children all over the world with Jeffrey's cousin, Carlito, who lives at the Wild Animal Park and Kate the adventurous teenage reindeer from Milwaukee. This year Mrs. Claus joins Jeffrey with some delicious Christmas cookies and a plan to get Santa’s workshop back to full steam after a worldwide sadness slows toy production.

Nearly 50 entries were submitted in the 2009 international talent search. The talent this year continues to be remarkable and the 29-track CD has something for everyone with stories in Italian, Spanish, Russian, two Hanukah Songs and a Celtic story as well as additional holiday songs offered by many talented people. Contributions included are by Broadway actress Ashley Fox-Linton as well as other familiar voices. 2008 Holiday Magic CD clips are available at www.HolidayMagicCD.com including one from Nichelle Nichols from the original TV series Star Trek! Character voices are generously provided by: Professional speaker Phillip Tanzilo – Santa, voice actors Penny Abshire - Mrs. Claus, Greg Dehm - Carlito, Heather Martinez - Kate, and Jeff Gelder - Jeffrey the Reindeer.

“Every $30 donation will bring a smile to ten sick children who will get a CD of their own," says Gelder. "This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are unfortunately spending the holiday season in the hospital and their siblings, who often crave attention due to so much being given to the ailing member of their family," Gelder said. "We are deeply grateful for all donations! The more donations we receive the more hospitalized children will receive a Holiday Magic CD. We are continually grateful to those who have been very generous in their donations and encourage others to open their hearts and donate additional funds to increase the number of children receiving the Holiday Magic CD.”
